Description

This document provides guidelines for tripping operations with surface back-pressure managed pressure drilling in accordance with API Recommended Practice 92M.  This document does not address operations with service gas (e.g. nitrogen) injection.

Recommended Practice 79-2 is one of three API documents on tripping operations. The others are:

  • Recommended Practice 79-1, Tripping Operations in Hydrostatically Overbalanced Wells, 1st Edition
